Be the Answer

CreatorCon 2026 Resources

Thanks for joining me for Go Further with Marketing & Visibility: Be the Answer in an AI-Search World.

The way people discover businesses, experts, destinations, products and services is changing. We’re not just typing a few keywords and sorting through links. We’re increasingly asking detailed questions and expecting useful answers.

That creates a different question for all of us:

What question do you want your name or business to be the answer to?

There is no magic formula for getting recommended by AIโ€”and that’s not the goal.

The goal is to create enough clear, accurate and credible evidence for people, search engines and AI-powered discovery tools to understand who you are, what you do, what you’re known for and when you’re relevant.

Be easier to find.
Be easier to understand.
Be easier to trust.

Start Here: Your Be the Answer Worksheet

Use the worksheet from our CreatorCon session to work through three questions:

DEFINE IT
What do you want to be known for?

ASK IT
What question do you want your name or business to be the answer to?

PROVE IT
If you were already known for this, what would you be doingโ€”and what evidence would people find?

Then identify:

CREATE โ€” What evidence do I need to create?

CLARIFY โ€” What needs to become clearer?

SHOW UP โ€” Where do I need to become more visible?

Put Your Business to the Test

You don’t have to guess what AI can find or understand about your business.

Try asking.

Use ChatGPT, Google or another AI-powered search tool and experiment with the prompts below.

Important: Don’t treat the answers as automatically accurate. AI systems can produce incomplete, outdated or incorrect information. The purpose of this exercise is to discover what information is being surfacedโ€”and what you may need to investigate, clarify or strengthen.

1. The Discovery Test

Don’t search for your business by name. Think like your customer.

Copy and customize:

I’m looking for a [TYPE OF BUSINESS, SERVICE, PRODUCT OR EXPERIENCE] in [LOCATION] that [SPECIFIC NEEDS, PREFERENCES OR CONSTRAINTS]. What options should I consider and why?

Make the question specific.

Does your business appear when it genuinely fits the question?

More importantly: What information seems to help the system understand which businesses are relevant?

2. The Understanding Test

Now ask directly about your business.

Copy and customize:

What can you tell me about [BUSINESS NAME] in [LOCATION]? What does the business do, who does it appear to serve, what is it known for, and what important information seems unclear, inconsistent or missing? When possible, show me the sources supporting your answer.

Then compare the response with reality.

Ask yourself:

Is it accurate?
Is it current?
Does it clearly explain what we do?
Is anything important missing?
Is anything incorrect or outdated?

Remember:

Visibility without accuracy isn’t success.

3. The Evidence Test

Now look beyond what you say about yourself.

Copy and customize:

Based on publicly available information, what evidence can you find about [BUSINESS NAME] in [LOCATION]? Separate information from the business’s own website and content from customer reviews, media coverage, directories, organizations, partnerships, events and other third-party sources. Include sources when available.

Look at the larger picture.

Your digital presence isn’t just your website or social media account.

It’s the body of evidence available online that helps peopleโ€”and increasingly technologyโ€”understand your business.

Go Further

Don’t stop at posting more content.

Go further than posting.
Create evidence.

Go further than keywords.
Understand the question.

Go further than one platform.
Build an ecosystem.

Go further than saying you’re an expert.
Prove it.

Go further than being found.
Be understood and trusted.

And remember:

Don’t try to game the answer. Build something worth finding.

Keep This Question With You

What do you want to be known for?

Then ask:

What would someone known for that actually do?

Do the work.

Document the evidence.

Make it visible.

Create the evidence that makes you the answer.
